Neglecting yourself will destroy your self-esteem when you become a mom. Incorporating practical self-care rituals won’t just keep you sane — it will keep you happy.
My favorite (and necessary) forms of self-care include working out, reading, writing, and eating healthy. I do each of these things every single day for me, and never feel guilty about it. I know I won’t be equipped to take on work duties or home responsibilities until I’ve started my day off right.
