Motherhood Does Not Define You

Own your you-ness, in motherhood and beyond

There are some moms I know who bury themselves in work and are perfectly happy seeing their kids for an hour in the mornings, an hour at night and on weekends.

And I know some moms who feel their greatest purpose and enjoyment in life is being a mom — with career, friends, hobbies, etc. all coming in second.

The point is, we are all different in the ways we mom, but it’s important to remember motherhood does not define us. It can play as big or as small of a role as we want it to play in our lives, but it doesn’t define who we are as women, who we are as professionals, and who we are as human beings.

Be the mom you want to be, but above all else, be the woman you want to be.

XOXO,

Ash
