A practical outfit is one that you can transition easily from day to night. A practical outfit should feel effortless and fuss-free, all day long — this means no tugging at your top to keep it down, no pulling up your sleeves to keep them up, and no walking like an ostrich because your pants or skirt keep slipping. If you are able to run to the grocery store, the office and the cocktail lounge in what you’re wearing, you’re wearing a practical outfit. And it has everything to do with your shoes.
